Living Legacy

The living often muse about what will be said about them when they pass from this world into the next. It is important for most that they be well regarded, that their life work count as meaningful, that they be loved and missed.

No legacy is so rich as honesty. ~ William Shakespeare

Unlike the characters in Thornton Wilder’s play, Our Town, we cannot see into the future beyond our own earthly existence; thus, we will never know how others really feel about us, unless they tell us candidly and unless we live our legacy with integrity each day. The surest path to integrity is to tell the truth, to others and ourselves.

Integrity is the essence of everything successful. ~ Buckminster Fuller

By “living legacy” I mean taking every opportunity to do what you can now, by giving what you can now, by loving now. In all practicality, there may not be another chance.
