Wind River alongside the campground reflected an overcast Dubois morning.
Savoring a warm blueberry muffin with brewed coffee on a comfy couch in Kathy’s downtown Koffeehouse, we ruminated about the sites ahead: Shoshone National Forest; Togwatee Pass; and the Grand Tetons. Our trusty ’82 Toyota RV had impressively climbed mighty heights, but could it reach the tallest summit west of the Rockies at 9,658 ft? For extra punch, we filled its tank with the highest octave gas available (91) and hit Wyoming-287.
This must have done the trick because we passed Togwatee without a hitch, descending into Grand Teton National Park just as the sun broke through the clouds.
