Cinematographers recognize that Alberta, Canada, sheds some of the sweetest light on the planet for movie making, but, I wondered, How long have they known about the extraordinary scenery surrounding Prescott, Arizona?
For nearly a century. Since 1912 quite a bit of film has rolled in Yavapai County, where its capital Prescott is nestled at 5,354 feet. And it’s no wonder. Aside from a four-season climate with mild summers and winters and over 300 days of sunshine per year, Prescott boasts magnificent skies. Come take a look.
