Coastal Escapade

The corner sign along Highway 1 in downtown Davenport, California, reads:

Antiques
Brocante
Gifts

The first and third words are familiar, but Brocante? Well, it happens to be French for “second hand.” Leave it to the French to make “second-hand” sound first rate!

Tucked away in a sunny, flower-bedecked patio is La Sirena, the best little new antique boutique in Santa Cruz County.

The shop itself is a work of art. Browsing is like taking a light stroll through an Old World open-air market.

You’ll discover sweet luxuries, one-of-a-kind jewelry, rich carpets, home décor and furnishings, paintings, vintage cards, ribbon, china, children’s clothing and old-fashioned toys, accessories – both romantic and exotic – and much more.

This week’s floral image of an Orange Clock Vine ~ rt ~ fittingly named Escapade, was captured in the patio garden here.

You have excellent taste in presentation.

What a lovely and acknowledging post to the world. Thank you!
The photos look similar to the ones we will be using on our website too. And I had to go hunt down that flower outside! Beautiful.
It is always encouraging to be supported by customers and friends, and you especially put your heart and energy into this support.
With great appreciation.

Kindly, Kim
