Can You Guess?

… the location of this week’s image? The picture above is only a hint!

Exceptional trees often frame famous seascapes: witness the towering Sitka spruce overlooking Cannon Beach OR at Ecola State Park; the Coastal Redwoods of Humboldt CA; the Lone Pine of Pebble Beach CA (the most photographed tree in the world); or the Torrey Pine of San Diego CA.

Pinus torreyana (Torrey Pine)

I’m sure all of you readers on the East Coast will be as partial to your regional trees as I am of ours on the West Coast!

Seaside panoramas would be incomplete without the beauty of trees, be they massive, sprawling, lofty, gnarled, lush, or bare. This is certainly true of our featured photograph.

Please “guess” the site of this week’s image ~ above right ~ in the Leave a Comment section.

The answer will be provided at the end of next week’s “Weekly Image” post.

Good luck!

How many of these exceptional trees are you familiar with?

Hi! I just watched “Dance at the Moulin Rouge”, and the tree at the top right sure looks like a can-can dancer! Can be at Cannon :-) , but let me guess Neskowin, OR. (I’m not familiar with any of the exceptional trees you mention, sorry to say.)
