Winds Of Eternity

Post image for Winds Of Eternity

in General,Monthly Post,Poetry

It is winter.

In the early morning I place lichen-covered
twigs that have fallen from the old madrones

adding dry pine that catches quickly
to fill the cold, dark cabin with
redeeming light.

All Aspects Of Our Lives

Post image for All Aspects Of Our Lives

Each morning
I reach for the tall
lilac mug you gave me
on your last visit –
the one with designs so true

Twice Rescued

Post image for Twice Rescued

Among the rows and rows for sale
you drew my attention
dozens of flowered stems bursting upward
green leaves hastening to match them in number,
effusive blooms, all in pink.

Post image for Trees

by Hermann Hesse on April 11, 2016

in General

One Path

Post image for One Path

by Viktoria Vidali on January 6, 2016

in Quotations

No one can build you the bridge on which you, and only you, must cross the river of life. There may be countless trails and bridges and demigods who would gladly carry you across; but only at the price of pawning and forgoing yourself. There is one path in the world that none can walk but you. Where does it lead? Don’t ask, walk! ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

A writer should tend to lift people up, not lower them down. Writers do not merely reflect and interpret life, they inform and shape life. ~ E.B. White

Unbroken Continuity

Post image for Unbroken Continuity

by Viktoria Vidali on May 24, 2015

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
